In case the retail card of your McAfee product comes with a registration number, then you need to follow this process to redeem the same.

Go to www.mcafee.com/activate.
Follow the directions shown on the screen.
Now, you need to click on the correct country.
Select the correct language.
Check if the region identified is right or not.
If it is not, then make suitable changes.
Type the McAfee product key that you got with the purchase.
Enter your email address.
Hit the Submit button.
When prompted, check whether the email ID is correct or not.
Click on Edit and make changes if needed.
Hit the Verify button.
